Thomas Wayne “Tommy Turbo” Voth, age 54, a resident of Westport, died on January 13, 2012, at his home in Westport. Mr. Voth was born in Deer Lodge, Montana on October 22, 1957 to John and Dona (McComber) Voth. He was raised in Missoula, Montana and graduated from Hellgate High School in 1975. Tommy was very proud of his football and wrestling accomplishments in high school.

After high school, he worked as a logger in Montana and Idaho for two years before moving to Alaska to work in the construction of the pipeline. He later began commercial fishing and in 1993, moved to Westport where he continued working as a commercial fisherman.

On June 24, 2000, he and Lenore Hovis were married in Westport. Lenore resides at the family home in Westport.

He loved any kind of sporting event, reading, cooking, gardening and children, especially his grandchildren. Tommy was a friend to all he met and is remembered for having a heart of gold.

In addition to his wife, relatives include two stepsons, Sean Hovis of Aberdeen and Kevin Hovis of Cosmopolis; his father John Voth of Anchorge; his mother Dona Harris and stepfather Charlie Harris of Newbern, NC; a brother John Voth of Stevensville, MT; sister Tanya Voth of Newbern, NC and five grandchildren, Casey Summers, Taylor Summers, Lukus Hovis, Kevin Hovis and Anika Hovis and nieces Christina Waters-Voth of Virginia, Michelle Voth of Stevensville, Montana and Nadia Waters-Voth of Virginia.

A celebration of life gathering is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
