Egeland, Sue

Susan got the nickname “Tooey” when she come home from the hospital at 3 days old. The closest I could come to saying Susan was Tooey. I was 15 months old.

Susan (Tooey) Ellen Egeland
MISSOULA — Born Dec. 28, 1956, passed away May 4, 2018.

On a breezy, warm spring afternoon Susan left us for her next big adventure. She’s going on to be with her big sister, Christine and Mom and Dad. We miss you. You will be forever loved by all of us who remain.
Tooey had a natural talent for cooking, art, treasure hunting, and growing cacti. She won blue ribbons at the county fair in 2013 and was featured in a story in the Missoulian for her night blooming barrel cactus she called “mother”. That cactus was so big it broke the pot. We had to hold it together with electrical tape just to get it into the floriculture building.

Tooey is survived by her son, Cameron, brothers Steve and his wife Trish, Harry and his wife Pauline, Dan and Marty. Sisters, Laura and Jeanette, niece Amanda and great niece, Claire; and Christine’s family, Mike Parnell, nieces, Jennifer and Erin and great niece Ryah and nephew Jamie; also numerous aunts and uncles and cousins. Also all of Tooey’s friends throughout the city of Missoula.

I’ll see you again Tooey, save me a seat. I love you.

The family wishes to have a celebration for Tooey later this summer, date pending
