HAMILTON – Mary B. Odell-Black, 58, of Hamilton, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at her home.

She was born May 30, 1957, in Missoula, daughter of the late Orvil and Zelda Johns. She graduated from Hellgate High School in 1975 and from the Missoula Vo-tech with an associate degree. She worked at Community Medical Center until the mid-’90s.

Mary married Jim Spicknall in 1975. They had two children, Nadine and J.D. She was an active member and past auxiliary president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She loved her dogs and horses.

She was preceded in death by a husband, Wes Odell, and her parents, Orvil and Zelda Johns.

Surviving include her husband, Kirk Black of Hamilton; children, Nadine (Mark) Pinkal and J.D. (Amanda) Spicknall; brothers, Shane, Randy and Jamie; sister, Kathy (Doug) Kimmel; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at noon, Thursday, March 10, at St. Mary Cemetery in Missoula. A reception will follow at the Eagles Lodge in Missoula. Condolences may be left for the family at dalyleachchapel.com.
